Over a 28-week program year, ArtSmart provides evidence-based music mentorship to help students develop life skills beneficial beyond the classroom.
One-to-One Mentorship Program
- Individualized instruction from highly-qualified artist-mentors through private voice and instrumental lessons
- Explore diverse repertoire
- Develop a healthy self-image
- Spark intrinsic motivation to continue in their artistic journey and excel academically
Vocal Theater Program
- Small groups of three paired with one mentor
- Create original theatrical piece with music and dialogue
- Explore social issues and personal values through team-building exercises, acting, and singing lessons
- Learn to express oneself creatively and develop artistically
- Develop transferable skills in teamwork and communication
Performance Opportunities
- Mid-year studio performance with ArtSmart peers and mentors
- End-of-year performance open to the public, friends, and family
