Transforming lives through music mentorship
Over a 28-week program year, ArtSmart provides evidence-based music mentorship to help students develop life skills beneficial beyond the classroom.
One-to-One Mentorship Program
- Individualized instruction from highly-qualified artist-mentors through private voice and instrumental lessons
- Explore diverse repertoire
- Develop a healthy self-image
- Spark intrinsic motivation to continue in their artistic journey and excel academically
Vocal Theater Program
- Small groups of three paired with one mentor
- Create original theatrical piece with music and dialogue
- Explore social issues and personal values through team-building exercises, acting, and singing lessons
- Learn to express oneself creatively and develop artistically
- Develop transferable skills in teamwork and communication
Virtual Remote Outreach Program
- ArtSmart collaborates with local organizations and schools in regions that lack access to music education and mentorship due to geographical barriers. Students receive virtual one-to-one music mentorship and instruction from highly-qualified artist-mentors.
- Local organizations and educators act as site ambassadors to run and oversee the program specific to the needs of the local community, while ArtSmart provides experienced mentors and curriculum.
